Circle Green Community Legal (CG) and Luma (formerly known as Women’s Health and Family Service) are committed to promoting and providing equitable access to justice and health, and to delivering strengths based and client-focused wholistic services to women who need them.

Accordingly, CG and Luma have established an outreach program dedicated to providing support to victims of family and domestic violence (FDV) by way of providing a wrap-around health, social and legal support service in the one location.

The outreach program will also run alongside Luma’s outreach program with Legal Aid WA, of which will make available additional legal support for each client.

The program aims to remove barriers for women accessing ‘face-to-face’ confidential legal assistance and forms part of the Vulnerable Women’s Project run by Circle Green’s Humanitarian team, which is focused on delivering dedicated assistance to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) women who have experienced or are experiencing FDV.

It takes incredible courage to stop the cycle of domestic violence and reach out for help, and legal assistance is paramount in that process. We are proud to join in and provide additional access to legal aid for women experiencing domestic violence. This creates a brighter road forward to ensuring all women have a safe and welcoming space to seek justice and ultimately, peace.” – Huyen Tran (COO) Luma.
