Lorraine brings extensive senior leadership experience across the community, health and creative and not-for-profit sectors. Most recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Holyoake, one of Western Australia’s leading alcohol and other drug support organisations, where she led the organisation through a period of transition and growth after previously holding the role of Chief Financial Officer. That combination of financial leadership and organisational stewardship is reflected in her credentials. Lorraine is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), with deep experience across governance, strategy, and financial management. She also contributes to the broader sector through board leadership, currently serving as Chairperson of Community Arts Network (CAN) and Treasurer of the Institute of Public Administration Australia WA (IPAA WA). Circle Green Chairperson Melissa De Abreu said the Board was pleased to welcome Lorraine following a careful and considered recruitment process. “The Board approached this appointment with great care, recognising the importance of strong leadership to support Circle Green’s continued impact and future of the organisation,” Ms De Abreu said. “Lorraine stood out for her strategic leadership, commitment to community outcomes, and strong alignment with Circle Green’s purpose and values. We are confident in her ability to lead the organisation into its next chapter and continue strengthening access to justice for people across Western Australia.” Lorraine said what drew her to Circle Green was the organisation’s distinctive approach to its work. “Circle Green pairs specialist legal expertise with a genuinely human-centred approach, supporting people to navigate systems that weren’t designed with them in mind. That blend of legal excellence and community-minded support is rare, and it’s exactly the kind of impact-driven work I care about,” Ms Keane said. “Success for me means more people feeling informed, supported, and empowered at moments when they need it most. I want Circle Green to continue growing its reach while deepening its impact, ensuring people can access support earlier, more easily, and in ways that genuinely improve their outcomes.” Lorraine’s appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the organisation as it continues its work providing specialist legal services, education, and advocacy to support people who may otherwise face barriers to accessing legal assistance.
