What are the 16 Days of Activism?
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is global call to action to end violence against women. The campaign is held annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day).
What is the Workplace Toolkit?
The Workplace Toolkit has been designed to support organisations to participate in the 16 Days of Activism by conducting activities that:

Why focus on sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment is one of the most common form of gender-based violence in Australian workplaces. It includes a range of unwelcome behaviors, from inappropriate comments to unwanted physical contact.
Workplace sexual harassment:

Can be an expression of gender inequality

Most often (but not always) affects women

Can be a form of sex discrimination

Can intersect with other types of discrimination

Is prevalent AND preventable

Requires whole-of-community responses
