You should take some steps to prepare before making a request

What information should I provide when getting legal advice?

When requesting and accessing legal assistance through Circle Green, we generally ask for the following information from you:

  • Your full name.
  • Your contact information.
  • Any relevant accessibility information, such as your interpreter needs.
  • Your start date with your employer.
  • Your end date with your employer (if your employment has ended).
  • Your employment contract or letter of appointment (if applicable).
  • An estimate of the number of employees in your employers’ organisation.
  • Any relevant dates of important conversations or meetings.
  • The full names of any other people involved (such as co-workers or managers).
  • Your employer’s ABN or ACN.

What if I am missing some information?

While we may not be able to review documents as part of our main telephone advice service, you should look at emails, text messages, employment contracts, letters of offer, payslips, and any other relevant document for information about your employment.
Sometimes, we may not be able to assist unless you provide us with all the relevant information. We will make our decision on a case-by-case basis.
